Sigvald Tommen Haug, Norway’s newly appointed chargé d’affaires for Afghanistan, praised the Islamic Emirate’s achievements and progress in the areas of security, counter-narcotics efforts, and economic stability.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Wednesday, that he made the remarks during a meeting with the country’s Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, where the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between Afghanistan and Norway.
Speaking at the meeting, Muttaqi wished the Norwegian diplomat success in his new mission and assured him of the ministry’s full cooperation.
The meeting also focused on enhancing engagement and promoting cooperation between the two countries.
